Whangamata and Whiritoa update
Whangamata and Whiritoa update
Update from NZTA 5:30pm
State Highway 25 at Whangamata remains closed because of a number of large slips. Contractors have also come across power lines on the road so it isn’t expected to open until 5pm tomorrow(Friday March 10th). All residents who live on that section of the State Highway have been given access in and out. There is a detour for all other road users through Whangamata town.
State Highway 25 at Whiritoa (between Whangamata and Waihi) now expected to open at 8pm.
