Weather Update #2 – Cyclone Cook
Forecast severe weather conditions mean Air New
Zealand has suspended operations at Tauranga Airport until
further notice and expects to be unable to operate to and
from a number of North Island airports as the afternoon
progresses.
The airline will continue monitor weather conditions throughout the day and customers booked to travel are advised to consult the arrivals and departures information on the Air New Zealand website here for up to date schedule information.
We strongly recommend customers booked to travel today ensure they are subscribed to Air New Zealand’s Travel Alert service to receive updates about the status of their flights.
Air New Zealand is offering fare flexibility for customers no longer wishing to travel, details are available here.
Due to the significant nature of this weather event and the likely disruption to the national roading network, Air New Zealand will not provide road transport options today for passengers whose travel is disrupted.
