Waipu Street market expands to 100 stalls
Waipu Street market expands to 100 stalls.
The Waipu Business and Promotion Group have arranged to utilize part of the Caledonian Park grounds and the Celtic Barn Overhang to create space for a further 50 market stalls.
Coupled with the current street venue this allows for a greatly expanded market of up to 100 stalls, including family entertainment of a Bouncy castle, Live Music, food stalls and displays.
Stall holders not previously seen at the
market include Leather handbag, Jewelry, Fashion, Wood
Furniture, Pottery, Lavender, and Community groups.
A
feature of the market will be the large number of Northland
Crafted products and art showing.
The change from Saturday to Sunday has been made so that the street market does not compete with other district markets and to allow participation by a greater diversity of stall holders.
Non Profit community groups are provided free stall space and the Queen’s Birthday Sunday market will include the St John’s Ambulance and school stalls.
