Nelson Gets its First TEDx Event
Nelson has an unexpected treat in store this Sunday 18 June, with a last minute decision to live stream TEDx Wellington in Whakatu at the Johnny Cash Theatre at NMIT.
TED talks are a global phenomenon renowned for their stimulating topics. It’s going to be an action packed and very engaging day with three live stream sessions from TEDxWellington, as well as a full programme of local content, with the day rounded off with a panel. The theme is ‘What’s Your Perspective?’ and local speakers include Miriana Stephens of Wakatu Inc, talking about Titiro whakamuri, hoki whakamua: We are the future, the present and the past. Doing old things new ways - the Wakatu journey.
Organised by the local group, local.foundation, the event is free (all details are in the link below), and limited tickets are available on a first come, first served basis. If you enjoy stimulating topics and interactive talks this is absolutely for you.
