Laser Plumbing & Electrical Winter Hoodies for Schools
Laser Plumbing & Electrical Winter Hoodies for Schools
Simon Walker of Laser Plumbing & Richard Beaufort of Laser Electrical Wellington East aren’t just about plumbing & electrical, they have a real passion is giving back to his community. Simon & Richard got together with a few of his industry buddies (Advance Electrical Wholesalers (Wellington), Mico Plumbing (Wellington) to solve a problem affecting children throughout the greater Wellington Region: keeping warm throughout the blustery Wellington winter.
Having brought up their own families up in the Hutt Valley, Simon & Richard knows how biting the Wellington winter winds can be. Simon & Richard and there industry mates decided that they would supply one entire school with hoodies to keep their students protected against the elements.
Five schools were selected from around the region to compete in a Facebook voting competition to engage the local community and decide which school would receive the hoodies.
9,000 votes were cast from across the Wellington region, with the winning school – Maoribank School in Upper Hutt (with a roll of 70 students) - receiving over 6,000 of the total votes.
The hoodies are currently in the process of being printed and will be ready for delivery early next week. The hoodies will be gifted next Friday, time to be announced.
The team is extremely proud to give back to the community and would like to thank all of the companies involved in their efforts to keep our kids warm this winter.
