Time for Work to Start on Mt Messenger, Says TRC
Today’s announcement of a final route for the Mt Messenger bypass has been welcomed by the Taranaki Regional Council.
“We’re very pleased that final design work can now go ahead,” says the Chairman of the Council’s Regional Transport Committee, Craig Williamson. “We’d like to see progress on the ground as soon as possible, given the time already elapsed since the funding was originally announced.”
He says the project is of enormous importance both economically and socially. “The Council has long advocated such major improvements to SH3 north. They’re vital for taking Taranaki forward.”
