SH1 closed between Kaitaia and Ohaewai

The NZ Transport Agency says State Highway 1 is closed in both directions between Kaitaia and Ohaewai after a truck rolled.

A load of timber is now being cleared from the road.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and expect delays while the road is cleared.
