Raparapaririki Bridge Closed For Maintenance
Raparapaririki Bridge on Tapuaeroa Road will be closed for maintenance from 8am Monday 15 January 2018 to 8pm Wednesday 17 January 2018, dependant on weather.
Gisborne District Council is replacing the timber planks of the bridge.
"Our contractor Siteworx Civil is going to be working 24 hours to minimise disruption to road users," says Dave Hadfield, General Manager of Tairawhiti Roads.
There is no bypass route available. Council has contacted affected land owners where possible.
The routine maintenance is part of Council's annual bridge maintenance programme.
