Review of Trade Waste Bylaw
We’re reviewing our bylaw on trade waste – waste produced by businesses which has a substantial impact on our wastewater treatment systems – and the draft bylaw will be going out for public consultation from mid-March to mid-April, alongside our Long Term Plan consultation.
Information about the draft bylaw will be available once Council has approved it for consultation at its meeting on 20 February. We’ll be contacting all affected businesses that produce the kind of trade waste covered by the bylaw.
Fees for disposing of trade waste into our wastewater treatment system will be set after the public consultation and will take effect from 1 July. These will be available for feedback as part of our Long Term Plan consultation.
From mid-March you can make a submission through our online portal, email to consultation@tcdc.govt.nz or post to Thames-Coromandel District Council, Private Bag 1001, Thames 3540.
For any further information regarding the upcoming review and consultation contact consultation@tcdc.govt.nz or call 07 868 0200.
