10th Annual Laugh-in-the-Park this Sunday
10th Annual Laugh-in-the-Park (Laughter Yoga) this Sunday 28th January
This free and family friendly event is brought to you by the St Alban's Laughter Club. Founder, Hannah Airey, has been facilitating laughter yoga workshops since 2007, and every year on the last Sunday of January people come together and laugh near the band rotunda in the daffodil gardens in South Hagley Park.
"There's something pretty special about laughing with a group of people under those beautiful trees! Yes it's slightly weird and a little crazy, but it's during the Buskers Festival so we don't look too out of place!" says Hannah.
"Laughter is our body's natural antidote to stress. Feel good chemicals, endorphins and serotonin, are released into our bloodstream and there's a myriad of other great health benefits which happen as well. It's also a great way to bring us into the present, a form of mindfulness, if you like."
