Following significant rainfall in the Nelson Tasman region, there has been flooding and slips around the region.
Flooding has been identified in the following
areas:
Tahunanui Drive (currently closed)
Manuka
Street Ford (currently closed)
Whakatu Drive (surface
flooding)
Waimea Road - Annesbrook (surface
flooding)
Lightband Road - Brightwater (surface
flooding)
Strawbridge Square - Stoke (surface
flooding)
Kawai Street - (surface flooding)
Toswill
Road - (surface flooding)
There are some slips on SH60 - Spooners, and SH60 Mapua has a slip blocking 3 lanes.
Please take care and only drive if necessary.
Rivers will rise with this rainfall, so please keep away from river banks and streams as they may rise rapidly.
