Use State Highway 16 to avoid crash site near Puhoi on State Highway 1
The NZ Transport Agency advises motorists using State highway One north of Auckland that a crash has blocked the motorway near Puhoi.
The crash is at the intersection of Cowan Bay Road at Pohuehue and SH1. The road is reduced to one lane with traffic under the control of a stop/go operator.
Traffic is heavy in the area in both directions.
The Transport agency advises motorists to delay their journeys on SH1 or use the alternative route SH16.
