Touch Champs and 10 Rowing Golds Makes Winning Weekend
Rangi Ruru Girls’ School has won the Canterbury
Secondary School Touch Championships and taken away 16
medals at the Canterbury Junior Rowing Regatta in successful
sporting outings over the weekend.
On Saturday the Rangi Supertouch team beat St Margaret’s 4-2 in yet another epic match between these two top teams. Rangi’s Sarita De Gouw was named Player of the final.
At the Junior Regatta at Lake Hood over Saturday and Sunday, the penultimate regatta before the Maadi Cup in late March, the Rangi Ruru crews were hugely successful, winning 10 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze medals together with receiving the award for being Sweep Oar Champion school.
