Congratulations on Penlink
Chamber CEO Michael Barnett has congratulated the Minister of Transport, Hon. Phil Twyford, for getting the message that Penlink was a ready-to-go project with a business plan and consents – a message the previous Government had ignored.
“Credit also to the Hibiscus & Bays Local Board Chair, Julia Parfitt and Deputy Chair, Janet Fitzgerald and the work of the Chamber who have worked closely with the Government to have this project accelerated” says Barnett.
“This project has been on the planning books for 30 years during which time we have seen major housing projects completed and congestion reach an unacceptable level.
What we must ensure now is that the work starts as soon as possible and that the project is delivered as quickly as possible for this community” he added.
