Pou Herenga Tai – Twin Coast Cycle Trail Appoints General Manager

Pou Herenga Tai – Twin Coast Cycle Trail Trust (the Trust) is pleased to announce the appointment of Adrienne Tari to the role of General Manager.

For the past eight years Ms Tari has been Cycle Trail Project Manager for the Far North District Council, and has previous experience in the legal, tertiary education, government, and health and economic development sectors.

Trust Chair, Nicole Anderson said: “We aim to make our beautiful Bay of Islands to Hokianga Harbour cycle trail a jewel in the national cycle trail network, and if we are successful in doing this, it will have significant regional benefits for all of Northland.

“We are delighted to appoint someone of Adrienne’s calibre to help. She brings local knowledge, leadership, innovation, regional marketing, promotions and operational expertise.

“She is known and respected throughout Te Tai Tokerau for her work on community-based initiatives. Her network of relationships will enable the Trust to realise its vision of being a key player in recreational tourism in the region.”

New General Manager, Adrienne Tari said, “I’m looking forward to supporting the next step in the life of our cycle trail as we move out from Council and operate as an independent Trust. I will retain a close working relationship with Council despite my resignation.”

Ms Tari’s appointment will commence on 22 August 2018 and she will be based at the Trust’s office in Kaikohe.
