QLDC files charges for unlawful building works during Kmart construction
On Friday 1 February 2019 Queenstown Lakes District Council (QLDC) filed charges in the Queenstown District Court in relation to the Kmart building at Queenstown Central.
The charges, which name Dominion Constructors Limited and a former employee of Dominion as defendants, are brought under the Building Act 2004 and relate to the same alleged defects that were the subject of a QLDC notice to fix in August 2018.
QLDC will be making no further comment whilst legal proceedings are completed.
