More feedback sort for Fees and Charges
Hastings Mayor Sandra Hazlehurst has asked for more of the region’s feedback on proposed new fees and charges for the Hastings District Council (HDC) Crematorium and Cemeteries.
The item on the agenda for Thursday’s HDC meeting regarding the Hastings District Council Crematorium and Cemeteries fees and charges will now go back to the Hawke’s Bay Crematorium Committee, which has representatives from HDC, Napier City Council and Central Hawke’s Bay District Council.
Mayor Sandra Hazlehurst says the fees and charges will remain as they are, until we have the feedback from the Hawke’s Bay Crematorium Committee.
“I have asked Council to take some time to look to this proposal very very carefully and get some more input.”
“We need to talk to our regional partners. It
is important any new fees and charges for our region’s
crematorium and cemeteries reflect the needs of our
community during what can be very difficult and upsetting
times.”
