Pike Families call for information
Pike Families call for information - Pike Family Reference Group media release 15 March, 2019
Hi everyone - given the interest in our confidentiality agreement in the last fews days we thought we’d make the most of it with a call for any information pertinent to the investigation the agreement is here and we’d like to call attention to the clause about protecting sources:
“...the FRG undertake to
keep information provided to them by Pike River family
members or other parties supply[ing] information
confidential on a case by case basis as determined by the
source providing the information.”
While we would prefer anyone with information to go straight to the police (which they can do by visiting or calling their local police station). We know that some people would rather deal with us directly.
We’re asking media to help us make this call for information public. Anyone with information can email us on pikeriverFRG@gmail.com or Facebook message us at facebook.com/standwithpike
Quotes:
Anna Osborne:
“We have a new investigation and will be gathering new evidence in the drift. We know there are people who know what went on but have not felt they could speak up. This is the time to step forward.”
Sonya Rockhouse:
“We have had information shared with us throughout the campaign for truth and justice and have maintained the confidence of our sources. If anyone has information that’s relevant to the investigation it needs to come out into the sunlight now.”
