Coromandel sending its thoughts and support to Christchurch
As the aftermath of the shootings this evening continues to unfold, our district is sending sympathies and offering any support we can to Christchurch.
“We like the rest of the country are in absolute shock, this is something that we just don’t expect to happen in New Zealand,” says our Mayor Sandra Goudie. “This is tragic, it is senseless and it’s sickening.”
“I’ve already extended our heartfelt sympathies to Christchurch Mayor Liane Dalziel and offered any assistance we can,” says Mayor Sandra. “This is a time where we need to unite together against a deliberate act of hate. Today we stand with Christchurch.”
