Emergency services are at the scene of a serious two-car crash on SH35, Tirohanga, Opotiki.
Police were called about 6.35pm.
Initial reports suggest one person is seriously injured.
Traffic management will be in place while the Serious Crash Unit examines the scene.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
