Update - Serious Crash, Romahapa - Southern

One person has died following a crash on Owaka Highway at Romahapa.

The single-vehicle crash was reported about 8.35am but is believed to have occurred overnight.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle died at the scene.

Police remain on site.
