Police are seeking witnesses to an alleged assault on Carlyle street in
It happened at about 7:00pm on Wednesday, 9 February outside the Countdown supermarket.
The victim, who was initially transported to hospital with serious injuries, is now recovering at home.
A 42-year-old man was arrested at the time.
He was due to appear in the Hastings District Court today, charged with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
