Charges Following Central Auckland Stabbing Incident
Three males have been charged in relation to a stabbing in central Auckland early this morning.
Police responded at 3.10am to reports of an assault in the area of Wyndham Street/Queen Street.
A man was located in Freyberg Place with a stab wound a short time later and was transported to Auckland Hospital.
He was reported to be in a serious condition.
Four people were taken into custody following the assault.
A 24-year-old man has been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and appeared in Auckland District Court today.
Two youths, have also been charged and will appear in the Auckland Youth Court.
The fourth person taken into custody in relation to this incident and was found to be in breach of bail conditions. He was scheduled to appear in Auckland Youth Court today in relation to breaching these conditions.
As these matters are now due before the courts, Police is unable to provide further information.
