Heavy Rain Forecast For The Coromandel On Monday Into Tuesday

We have severe weather on the way tomorrow (Monday 11 July) and MetService has issued a heavy rain warning.

We will monitor the situation and update you over the next 24 hours as more information comes in.

The warning period is from 4pm Monday until 11am Tuesday.

MetService says we can expect 90 to 110 mm to accumulate, especially about the ranges. Peak rainfall rates may reach 15 to 25 mm/h.

Heavy rain may cause streams and rivers to rise rapidly. Surface flooding and slips are also possible and driving conditions may be hazardous.
