Hawke’s Bay Regional Workforce Plan Launch
The Hawke’s Bay Regional Skills Leadership Group (RSLG) released our first Regional Workforce Plan today at the Te Taiwhenua o Te Whanganui ā Orotū.
The Hawke’s Bay Regional Workforce Plan is a starting point for regionally led workforce and skills development. It marks the beginning of a shared understanding to the labour market needs of the region through a co-governance model with iwi, mana whenua, industry, economic development groups, local and central government and our community. This Regional Workforce Plan draws on Te Tiriti principles, experiences of kaimahi, employers, education providers, students, rangatahi and whanau and it is intended to support and facilitate ongoing discussions and actions across the region and align elements of our community that need more support and cultural interventions to build sustainable employment and career outcomes. The plan is available at mbie.govt.nz/hawkes-bay-rslg
Fifteen RSLGs have been established around the motu to identify and support better ways of meeting current and future workforce and skills needs in our regions and cities. They are independent advisory groups that are locally based and regionally led. Read more about the Hawke's Bay Regional Skills Leadership Group here. You can also sign up for updates on our website.
