Light Festival Returns To Bring The Glow Back To The Heart Of Ponsonby
Known as the place where colour and vibrancy has long been celebrated, the Light Up Ponsonby Festival will see magical light installations, projections and bespoke art installations all the way along Ponsonby Road from 28 July – 8 August.

Lighting buildings, installing eye-catching shapes on the footpaths and hanging glowing hearts in the trees, the area will twinkle with various forms of light from 6pm – 10pm each evening. Come and be enlightened with a memorable stroll from Western Park to Three Lamps! Bundle up the kids and give them some magic before bedtime or make a night of it with drinks or dinner at one of the many bars and restaurants along the way.
With installations designed by Angus Muir and Bobbie Gray, two Hybycozo at Western Park and opportunities for many a sparkly selfie, there will be a surprise and delight of the lighting variety at various corners, laneways, walls, trees and paths along the way.
During these long dark winter nights, we all need a little bit of twinkle to keep the spirits high – so wrap up warm and enjoy the festival of light in the community that glows.
