Police have arrested a man in Te Aroha in relation to the Cambridge homicide.

We are speaking with the man and an update on charges will be provided when able.

Police are not seeking anyone else in relation to this incident.

We know this was a distressing incident for our Te Aroha and Cambridge communities and we want to thank them for their understanding while we made enquiries to locate him.

A scene examination at the Richmond Street address is continuing.

The community should expect to see an increased Police presence while staff continue the investigation into the woman's death.
