Information sought after service stations targeted, Hamilton
Waikato Police are asking for the public's help following two incidents this morning where service stations were targeted, reportedly by the same group of people.
Police were called about 7.15am to a service station on Avalon Drive, where a stolen grey Mazda Demio, registration LWB325, had been used in an attempt to gain entry.
The attempt was unsuccessful, and the occupants left the scene in the vehicle.
About 7.40am, Police were called to a Hillcrest service station after a report of an aggravated robbery.
Four offenders, who arrived in the same Mazda Demio, entered the store armed with a steering lock, demanding cigarettes and cash.
Fortunately there were no injuries during the incident, however the staff member involved was understandably shaken.
Police are now working to locate the vehicle and those parties involved.
If you see this vehicle, or have any information about its whereabouts or the occupants involved, please call 111 immediately and quote event number P053465234.
