North Island Weather Update #7
Fire and Emergency crews continue to assist people in Auckland, Waikato, and the Bay of Plenty with weather related call outs.
Fire and Emergency’s Communication Centres have received 348 calls in the past 24 hours. 273 of these calls were from Auckland, Waikato and the Bay of Plenty.
In Auckland, including Waitemata, Auckland city, and Counties Manukau, there were 146 incidents which included:
- Nine
rescues (trapped in houses, cars and as
a result of car crashes)
- Seven
priority one (where there is confirmed risk
to people)
- 26
priority two (where there is a potential
risk to people)
In the Waikato there were 70 incidents which included:
- Two
rescues
- Two
priority one
- 31
priority two
In the Bay of Plenty there were 57 incidents which included:
- Five
rescues
- Five
priority one
- 14
priority two
