Fatal crash, Main North Road, Urenui
One person has died following a crash on Main North Road (State Highway 3), Urenui near the Onaero River.
Police were alerted to the crash involving three vehicles at 10.50am. Four people were transported to Taranaki Base Hospital and sadly, one of them has died in hospital.
The three others remain in hospital with serious injuries.
The road was closed while emergency services attended, and has re-opened now.
Serious Crash Unit have conducted a scene examination and enquiries are ongoing to determine the cause of the crash.
