Progress Result For The Tauranga City Council By-Election
The progress result for the Tauranga City Council Te Awanui Māori Ward by-election shows that Hemi Rolleston is set to be the city’s new Te Awanui Ward Councillor.
This result is based upon the counting of approximately 80% of the returned voting papers.
The progress result does not include special votes and voting papers returned today, Tuesday, 29 April, that are still in transit to the processing centre.
The by-election outcome could potentially change once all voting papers have been counted.
A preliminary result is expected to be released by 1pm Wednesday, 30 April 2025.
The final result is expected to be released by 4pm Wednesday, 30 April 2025.
