Water Restored To Oceanbeach Road Houses
Water has been restored to houses on Oceanbeach Road, Mount Maunganui.
Following a broken water main at 2:20am, the water supply was shut off at 4:50am and house numbers 273-367 Oceanbeach Road were without water for around five hours.
The water main broke underneath a power pole and traffic management remains in place for the remainder of the day while the site is cleaned up. Try to avoid this area if possible as there may be some delays in your journey.
Water has been flushed through hydrants and there should be no discolouration, however if there is, residents are advised to run their taps for five minutes before using.
