SH75 Reopens After Closure Due To Fallen Trees
State Highway 75 at Birdlings Flat has reopened this morning after fallen trees in last night’s winds forced a road closure.
Crews were able to resume efforts this morning in daylight to clear the trees from the highway, near Bayleys Rd, on the route from Christchurch to Banks Peninsula.
A temporary speed restriction is place. Road users are advised to take extra care when travelling along this route.
Care is also being urged on a nearby stretch of SH75, between Birdlings Flat and Little River, where surface flooding has been an issue.
