All households on a private water bore have been advised to boil their water as a precaution.
Treat all water and rivers as if they are still contaminated – they may include wastewater overflows or other contaminants.
POWER
There are still a number of households affected by power outages. Work is ongoing to repair the network.

If you are clearing your property, please be aware of local power and communications lines and infrastructure to maintain connection and stay safe.
OFFERS OF HELP
Are you needing help cleaning up or want to help others with food or clothing donations? The Student Volunteer Army are available to help or would love your help, please visit https://www.sva.org.nz/nelsontasman25 and fill out the form.
We have been receiving offers of help from people with machinery, diggers and trucks. The local council concerned will deal with any main works through established contractors, and if you are wanting to help on private properties then that needs to happen with the individual homeowner.
WEATHER
While it is still damp and there are showers forecast for today and tomorrow – these are fast moving and should not impact recovery efforts.
SCHOOL AND BACK TO WORK
We are very conscious people might be going back to school and work tomorrow and are working on updating this afternoon what schools and roads continue to be impacted so you can make decisions and plans.
