Temporary Change To Tauranga Recycling Processing
Between Monday, 14 July - Friday, 25 July household recycling materials collected from Tauranga’s kerbside service will be sent to an Auckland recycling facility while Tauranga’s facility undergoes maintenance.
Throughout the two-week period, household recycling will be temporarily consolidated in the Te Maunga Transfer Station pit area and loaded into tubes for transportation to Auckland. During this time, the recycling will be processed close to, but kept separate, from general waste that is sent to landfill. There will be no change to kerbside recycling services.
