Leashes Required For Nesting Season
Dogs visiting the wetlands area of Henley Lake must now be on leashes, following the start of nesting season.
As happens each year, leashes are required in the wetland area from 1 August to 30 November.
Masterton District Council has erected signs advising of the requirement, and Animal and Bylaw Services staff will be patrolling the area over the next three months to ensure compliance.
If dogs are not on a leash, owners may receive a $300 infringement notice.
