Rock clearing to affect traffic on SH73
Rock clearing work from tomorrow on State Highway 73 between Arthur’s Pass and Otira means that road users can expect short delays to their travel.
The work by contractors for New Zealand Transport Agency Waka Kotahi at the Candys Creek Bridge in Otira Gorge will take place tomorrow and Wednesday, from 8am to 5pm both days.
People should plan their journeys accordingly and allow extra time for their travel. We thank people in advance for their patience and understanding as this necessary work is carried out.
The work may be postponed if the weather forecast is poor, and we will advise if there is a change to the timing.
People can stay up to date with the latest work on the state highways at our Journey Planner site.
