State Highway 99, between McInerney Road and Fishing Camp Road, has reopened after a closure earlier this afternoon.
Road users should expect delays as congestion eases in the area.
12.40pm - Incident causes closure on SH99
A traffic incident has caused the closure of State Highway 99 near Te Waewae in Southland.
Crews are stopping traffic in both directions, from McInerney Road to Fishing Camp Road. The incident involves power lines.
No detour is available and people are asked to avoid the area or delay their journeys if possible.
