Mobility Dogs Launches Dogtober 2025: Bigger, Better, And Open To Everyone

Mobility Dogs is thrilled to announce the return of Dogtober, running nationwide from October 1st to October 31st. This year, Dogtober is bigger and better than ever, the challenges aren’t just for dog owners. Whether you’ve got a pup at home, no dog at all, or want to take part as a team, organisation, or school, there’s a fun Dogtober challenge for everyone.

Dogtober is designed to inspire and connect people and our community through the simple joy of dogs. It’s a fun, light-hearted way for individuals, schools, and organisations to get involved, celebrate our furry friends, and support a vital cause.

Dog lovers can teach their pets new skills, while those without dogs have a selection of challenges to choose from. Schools, workplaces, and community groups are also encouraged to get involved with team fundraising challenges, making Dogtober a truly nationwide movement to support Mobility Dogs’ life-changing work.

How it works:

  1. Sign Up: Head to https://dogtober.co.nz/ to register as an individual, team, organisation, or school.
  2. Choose Your Challenge: Whether it’s teaching your dog a task, taking on the challenge of dog yoga, or setting a fun team challenge, every effort counts.
  3. Share and Fundraise: Fundraise for Mobility Dogs, share your progress on social media, tag @mobilitydogs, and use #DogtoberNZ to spread the word.
  4. Celebrate: Every dollar raised helps Mobility Dogs provide highly trained dogs to New Zealanders living with disability.
