Rock Scaling To Impact Traffic On SH6
Road users should be prepared for delays of up to 30 minutes when travelling on State Highway 6/Coast Road between Fox River and Punakaiki this week.
Rock scaling work by contractors on behalf of New Zealand Transport Agency Waka Kotahi will take place at Meybille Bay between the hours of 8am and 5pm, from tomorrow through to Friday 17 October. Traffic will be temporarily held in both directions to allow the contractors to safely complete the work.

Recent rain has caused slips on the highway that contractors have responded to.
We thank people for their patience while this important work is carried out. Stay up to date on the latest highway conditions at our Journey Planner site.
