Local Elections Provisional Voter Turnout Results As At 13 October 2025
- Provisional voter turnout results (nationwide) as at 13 October: 38.01%
- This represents 1,312,499 votes received from 3,452,602 eligible voters
- The provisional voter turnout results are up 5.4% from the progress voter turnout results released on 11 October (32.6%)
- This is thanks to the 185,078 votes submitted on election day - representing 14.1% of all votes received
- Chatham Islands (68.34%), Kaikōura District (59.37%) and Mackenzie District (59.13%) recorded the highest provisional voter turnout results
- 19 of the 66 councils recorded a 50% or higher provisional voter turnout; 11 councils recorded under a 40% provisional voter turnout
- Final voter turnout results (which includes special votes) will be available from Friday 17 October
