Incident at Constellation Drive Bus Station
An emergency services incident involving an electric bus at Constellation Bus Station earlier today will continue to impact bus services this afternoon.
The bus involved was out of service, with no passengers, and the driver exited the vehicle safely.
The fire is now extinguished, and the bus is currently being removed. We anticipate the station will reopen over the next few hours.
Emergency services are currently investigating the incident, including the cause of the fire.
Buses that use the Northern Busway are being detoured via the Northern Motorway. Customers will be advised via AT Mobile App notifications when the station reopens.
No roads are closed, and cars can travel in the area. The busway overbridge impacted will remain closed until it has been assessed by a structural engineer, and bus routes that use the overbridge will be diverted until it is assessed as safe. These routes are 95C, 843, 871, 901, 902, 906, 907.
The busway overbridge is within the station and not impacting vehicle traffic.
