New Naming Opportunity For Waikato’s Iconic Stadium

After a decade of packed stands, unforgettable match days and global spotlight, FMG Stadium Waikato is getting ready for its next chapter,and a new name.
FMG’s naming rights partnershipforFMG Stadium Waikato, the first for the stadium,will come to its plannedendin June 2026.
Since 2015, the partnershipbetween FMG andHamilton City Councilhas helped shape the stadium into one of New Zealand’s most recognised and well-used venues.
Ben Slatter, FMG Stadium Waikato Director, is proudof what the partnership has achieved.

Asthe current agreement nearsits end, Council is now inviting expressions of interest for the next naming rights partner.
“This is a rare opportunity for a business to align with a stadium that continues to deliver national and international exposure, whileboostinglocal pride and economic impact,” said Slatter.
Naming rights partnerships help offset operational costs and ensure the stadiumremainsa vibrant, accessible venue for the region.
Thenaming of the stadiumwon’timpactevents at thevenue,withat least six Super Rugby games already locked in for next year.
