State Highway 47, Tongariro Closed Due To Fires - Central

State Highway 47, Tongariro is currently closed between State Highway 48 and Mangatepopo Road due to a number of fires beside the road.

Police were notified just after 1:20pm.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and expect delays.

Diversions are in place.
