Overnight Full Closures Of SH22 At Drury Interchange
Over two nights on Monday 16 and Tuesday 17 February, all lanes on State Highway 22 (SH22) between (but not including) the on/off ramps at Drury Interchange will be closed to all motorists.
Full overnight closures from 9pm to 5am of this section of SH22/Great South Road (in both directions) are required as part of the SH1 Papakura to Drury project for assembling a large crane in the triangle gore area between the SH1 southbound motorway lanes and the Drury southbound off-ramp.
During these night closures, SH22/Great South Road eastbound traffic will be detoured onto SH1 northbound to Papakura Interchange and back to exit at Drury southbound off-ramp and turn left (east). Great South Road/SH22 westbound traffic will be detoured onto SH1 southbound to Ramarama Interchange and back to exit at the Drury northbound off-ramp and turn left (west).
Following these overnight closures, this crane will continue building piles for the new SH1 bridge over Great South Road. These works will continue until mid this year and the team mobilises over to the southern side of Great South Road.
