Week On Our Streets
Road users are encouraged to use alternate routes where possible and we’ll do our best to keep any delays to a minimum. Traffic management may be in place to make sure road users, including people on bikes and pedestrians, can navigate these areas safely while work is under way. Works and dates are subject to change based on factors such as wet weather and staff availability.
Residents, pedestrians and people on bikes will continue to have access unless specified below.

The below streets around FMG Stadium will be closed on Sunday 15 February for a NRL rugby game.

Upcoming works/delays
Cambridge Road – road closure
Cambridge Road (from Wairere Drive to Masters Avenue) is closed until Friday 20 February from 7pm – 6am for resurfacing.
Morrinsville Road, Silverdale Road and Matangi Road – road closure
Morrinsville Road (from Cambridge Road to Ruakura Road), Silverdale Road (from Master Avenue to Morrinsville Road) and Matangi Road (from Woodside Road to Morrinsville Road) will be closed 24/7 from Monday 16 February until the end of May for a roundabout installation.
Killarney Road – various road closures
Killarney Road (from Greenwood Street to Allen Street) will be closed from Wednesday 18 February to Friday 20 February from 8pm – 6am.
Killarney Road (from Greenwood Street to Massey Street) will be closed in one direction from Saturday 21 February to Wednesday 25 February from 6am – 7pm. The road will be fully closed from Friday 20 February to Tuesday 3 March from 7pm – 6am.
Albert Street – road closure
Entry to Albert Street from Grey Street will be closed from Monday 16 February to Friday 20 March from 7am - 6pm for a footpath renewal.
Ongoing works/delays
Lake Domain Drive – lane closure
One lane of Lake Domain drive (from Lake Road to Killarney Road) will remain closed until Friday 20 February from 7.30am – 4pm for a footpath instillation.
Boundary Road – road closure
Boundary Road (from Heaphy Terrace to Victoria Street) remains closed until Saturday 21 February from 8pm – 6am for bridge maintenance.
Glenmorgan Place – lane closure
The entry lane of Glenmorgan Place remains closed until Thursday 19 February from 7am – 6pm, for road repairs.
Edgecumbe Street - lane closure
The eastbound lane of Edgecumbe Street (from Dyer Street to Victoria Street) remains closed until Friday 27 February from 7am – 6pm, for a wastewater upgrade.
Grey Street - lane closure
The northbound lane of Grey Street (from Anzac Parade to Te Aroha Street) remains closed at various times until June from 8pm – 5am, for a watermain upgrade.
Te Rapa Road and Garnett Avenue intersection – delays
Traffic delays and some directions through the Te Rapa Road and Garnett Avenue intersection will be closed until mid-March from 7pm – 6am, for a watermain upgrade.
Hukanui Road and Comries Road – road closure and delays
Work is underway at the Comries Road and Hukanui Road intersection until Wednesday 4 March. The intersection will be closed at night, Monday to Friday, from 8pm – 6am. The intersection will be open to traffic during the day, but delays are expected while work continues.
