Mayor Ken Laban says the March line-up shows what Lower Hutt can offer as a host city.

“We want Lower Hutt to be known as the go-to place for community sport and major tournaments. We have the facilities, the volunteers and the community spirit to deliver outstanding events.

“This incredible March programme is just the beginning. My goal is to grow the number and scale of events we host each year so more people visit, stay and experience everything our city has to offer.

These events alone will bring thousands of athletes, supporters and visitors into the city. That means busy cafes, people staying in our short term accommodation, and a real boost for local businesses.”

From grassroots competitions to national championships, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Whether you are competing or supporting from the sidelines, March is shaping up to be a month to remember.
