Cambridge Road To Close Temporarily For Water Infrastructure UpgradeMonday 9 March 2026
A water supply infrastructure upgrade begins from Monday, 16 March on Cambridge Road that will require a road closure through to late 2026.
Water pipes located beneath Cambridge Road are being upgraded to ensure residents have access to quality drinking water, and for the network to better handle population growth and service disruptions.
Regular water supply to properties will not be impacted during construction.
To get this work completed safely and efficiently, a road closure is required on Cambridge Road with detours via surrounding routes. Resident and business access is available during the road closure.
The first phase of construction, between 16 March to August 2026, is between St Andrews Drive to Wakefield Drive. A detour is available via St Andrews Drive, Castlewold Drive and Wakefield Drive.

The second phase of work, between August to December 2026, is between Wakefield Drive to Sterling Gate Drive. A detour is available via Wakefield Drive, Castlewold Drive and Sterling Gate Drive.
