SH1 Reopened After Serious Crash
UPDATE: 4.55pm – SH1 reopened after serious crash
State Highway 1/Domett Road, between Leader Road East and Scargill Valley Road, has reopened following a serious crash this afternoon.
Road users are asked to drive with care in the area.
1.15pm – Closure area extended, detour available for SH1 crash
A closure in place on State Highway 1/Domett Road, after a serious crash near Domett this morning, has been extended. The stretch of road between Leader Road East and Scargill Valley Road is now closed.
A detour is available via State Highway 7 and Inland Route 70/Inland Road/Inland Kaikoura Road, but this route is not suitable for heavy vehicles.
