Greymouth Road Closure For Wastewater Work

An overnight closure of State Highway 6/Smith Street in Greymouth scheduled for next Monday will enable contractors for the Grey District Council to undertake important infrastructure work for the town.

The stretch of SH6/Smith Street between Whall Street and Cobden Bridge is due to be closed from 6pm on Monday 30 March, reopening at 6am on Tuesday 31 March, for the replacement of wastewater pipes. Road users are asked to follow sign-posted detours.

This work is weather dependent and may be postponed to the next suitable night in the event of poor weather, in which case notification will be provided. We thank people in advance for their patience.
